Amira Watters joined the Spay Today team as Executive Director Interim on February 1, 2021.  She spent the last six years working in Economic Development, as the Executive Director of the Jefferson County Business Resource Center. Prior to that she held multiple positions with the West Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Amira brings a unique skill set with her and her areas of expertise include: Leadership, Business Organization, Strategic Growth & Public Affairs. She enjoys collaboration, inclusivity and strategic partnerships, with an understanding of the importance of community engagement. Amira has served on multiple non-profit boards in Jefferson County and is a current board member of Foothills Credit Union. She also is the owner/operator of a 25-year-old natural healing practice in Lakewood.

Amira is excited about employing her talents to help Spay Today reach new levels of service and success. By increasing awareness of our mission, we can further reduce overpopulation, animal abuse and homeless of pets through effective and affordable spay and neuter services. Amira is passionate about animals, people and business and her personal and professional tagline is “Always Happy to Help!”

Amira loves animals and has enjoyed owning a variety of pets throughout her life including cats, dogs, turtles, frogs, rodents and fish. She currently owns a young and very energetic Husky/Bulldog mix named Bohdi James.
