We are pleased to announce that Dr. Carolyn Karrh will join our team as Medical Director, effective February 1st. Dr. Karrh succeeds SpayToday’s founder, Dr. Angelina Piccoli, who will continue to perform surgery and work with other veterinarians interested in high-volume spay and neuter techniques and procedures.
Dr. Karrh holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music and Theater from the University of Alabama, a Master of Fine Arts in Music and Theater from the University of Georgia and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Georgia. Prior to attending veterinary school, she spent ten years working as a veterinary technician around Atlanta, Georgia while she did musical theater and performed as a country singer.
After earning her DVM, Dr. Karrh came to Colorado to complete a
shelter medicine internship at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Since graduation, Dr. Karrh has worked in animal shelters, spay/neuter clinics, private practice, in-home euthanasia and hospice care
and non-profit. She has been performing relief work at SpayToday for over five years.
In 2014, Dr. Karrh started her own non-profit organization called Peace, Love & Paws. Peace, Love & Paws seeks to provide veterinary care to homeless and indigent pet owners through a monthly clinic day
with volunteer veterinarians, veterinary technicians and other volunteers to help with the administrative tasks. Dr. Karrh will continue to lead Peace, Love & Paws and while at SpayToday, NeuterNow! we will continue to seek ways to partner so that more pet owners in need can access veterinary care for their beloved pets, regardless of their housing status or income level.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Carolyn Karrh to SpayToday!
